Who will be the highest-paid players in the NBA on opening night?
The NBA released its regular-season schedule on Saturday morning (Feb. 16). The league kicks off on March 23, with New York Knicks-Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Los Angeles Lakers all taking on each other on Opening Day.

In total, the team is expected to spend $173.56 billion (23.57 billion won) on its roster this season, and slightly more than that when two-way and rookie contracts are factored in.
Outside of the two-way-rookie deal, Boston has focused on locking up existing resources, most notably re-signing Jayson Tatum to a total of $273.3 million (37.67 billion won). His salary this season will be $34.84 million ($47.3 million), meaning he will now make $570 million per game.
Boston’s total payroll for the season is $216.2 million (27.39 billion won).
The most expensive player on either team is Jaylen Brown. He earns an unimaginable $49.7 million (KRW 675 million), which translates to $823 million per game.
Elsewhere, the in-season tournament will begin on Nov. 23 with the group stage. Five teams from each of the three West and East brackets will compete in the group stage, with the top two teams in each bracket advancing to the quarterfinals. The finals are Dec. 18.
In addition, the Christmas Matchups (Dec. 26) will feature San Antonio-New York, Minnesota-Dallas, Philadelphia-Boston, Lakers-Golden State, and Denver-Phoenix.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Dallas-Charlotte, Minnesota-Memphis, Boston-Golden State) is scheduled for Jan. 20, 2025.

The regular season concludes on April 14, with the play-in taking place from April 16-19 and the playoffs beginning on April 20.
