Kim Huebum returns from injury to help Chung-Ang University top their group. Kim also revealed his ambition to win the championship.

Chung-Ang University won 80-68 against Sungkyunkwan University in the Group B preliminary round of the 40th MBC National University Basketball Championship at the new Sangju Gymnasium on Feb. 22.

Sophomore Kim Hue-beom had a good performance, scoring 10 points and dishing out five assists in 19 minutes and 49 seconds.

“We had to beat Sungkyunkwan University first,” said Kim. It was a game with a lot of ties. I only thought about winning, 파워볼사이트 추천 and I’m satisfied with the win,” said Kim.

After making an impact as a freshman two years ago, Kim was plagued by injuries in the middle of his freshman season. He continued to undergo treatment and rehabilitation. Kim has been battling injuries for a long time. Fortunately, he recently made a full recovery from his injury and returned to the court with the MBC Bae.

“My physical condition and performance are not perfect. My opponents don’t realize that. It’s not good, but I try not to show it,” he said.

“At the beginning, when I was injured and injured and injured, I really lost my mind. I felt like I shouldn’t be like this. I read a lot of books. I tried not to think about basketball and de-stress a lot,” he recalls.

Kim’s teammates at Yonsei University, Lee Min-seo, a year his junior, and Moon Yoo-hyun and Lee Joo-young, are doing well in college. Having rubbed shoulders with them in high school, Kim might have been nervous.

But when asked, he shakes his head.

“They’re all really good players. I’m grateful that I’m being compared to them, but I’m just trying to win. I’m trying to do my best,” he laughed.

When asked about the growth of his upper body frame, Kim said, “I couldn’t use my lower body much during the break, so I focused on rehabilitation, so my upper body got bigger. I’ve gotten stronger, but I can also feel that I’ve gotten slower. I think I need to find my balance quickly.”

Kim also cited his strength as leading.

“The current trend in basketball is for point guards to score a lot,” Kim said. But I specialize in running the game and leading. I think that’s what makes me different from my friends. I think I need to pay more attention to playmaking to survive in the pros. I’m confident in scoring goals (laughs), but I’m going to focus more on playmaking.”

Chung-Ang University finished first in the group and advanced directly to the quarterfinals. It will face the winner of the Yonsei-Hanyang University quarterfinal matchup on June 24.

“As it’s a single tournament, the flow is very important. I think we rode the flow well. Of course, the goal is to win. I think we have to win everything. If we prepare well and work hard, I think we can win the tournament,” said Kim.
