Mike Tuckman (Chicago Cubs), formerly of the Hanwha Eagles, hit his first home run in a major league exhibition game.

Tuckman started in center field in the fourth inning of the Cubs’ spring training exhibition game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Arizona, on Wednesday.

The Cubs opened the game with a leadoff single to center by Nico Horner, followed by a strikeout by Dansby Swanson and a groundout to Christopher Morel at first base. Tuckman, who reached on a fielder’s choice with two outs, was stranded on a grounder to shortstop.

The Cubs took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run by Matt Murvis, but the Dodgers answered with back-to-back singles by Max Muncy and Teoscar Hernandez, 안전놀이터 followed by a three-run homer by Andy Fajes to make it 3-1.

Tuckman led off the fourth inning with a solo home run over the left field wall off reliever Daniel Hudson. Tuckman’s homer made it 2-3.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, with the Cubs trailing 6-2, Tuckman batted third and drew a walk. He was replaced at first base by pinch-hitter Pete Crawford-Armstrong.

Tuckman went 1-for-2 with one double, one home run, one walk and one RBI. In five games in exhibition play, Tuckman is 2-for-11 with two doubles and a 1-for-8 slugging percentage.

Tuckman played for the Hanwha Eagles in the KBO in 2022.

In all 144 games in a Hanwha uniform, he batted .795 with 166 hits, 12 home runs, 43 RBI, 88 runs scored, 19 stolen bases, and an OPS of .795.

Hanwha did not re-sign Tuckman, and he signed a minor league deal with the Chicago Cubs to try again in the majors.

In 24 games with the Cubs’ Triple-A Iowa Cubs, Tuckman batted .870 with three home runs, 15 RBIs, 17 runs scored, and an OPS of .870 before being called up to the big leagues in May of last year.In 108 games with the Cubs, Tuckman batted .252 (85-for-337) with eight home runs, 48 RBIs, and an OPS of .740.

After the season, Tuckman re-signed with the Cubs for one year and $1.95 million to remain on the 40-man roster. His failure to re-sign with Hanwha was the final straw for his return to the big leagues.

On the same day, Cubs Japanese pitcher Shota Imanaga made his major league debut in an exhibition game. He pitched 2 1/3 innings 메이저 토토사이트 allowing three runs on three hits (one home run) with five strikeouts.

Imanaga, who played eight seasons in Nippon Professional Baseball, signed a four-year, $53 million contract with the Cubs in January. In his first major league start, he allowed a home run but also showed off his strikeout ability.

Imanaga gave up a three-run homer in the first inning, but he retired the next four batters in a row, including Miguel Rojas in the third inning before being removed.
