It took Burnley manager Vincent Kompany just five minutes to make up his mind about becoming Bayern Munich manager, and he’s happy about it.

“Kompany took just five minutes to accept the Munich job,” European soccer transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday.

When Munich announced in February that Thomas Tuchel would be stepping down at the end of the season, fans’ attention turned to who would replace him.

There was no shortage of candidates. At the top of the list was Xabi Alonso, who led Leverkusen to an undefeated title. However, the search fell through when Alonso decided to stay at Leverkusen.

Next up was Julian Nagelsmann, the head coach of the German national soccer team. Nagelsmann was previously the head coach of Munich, where he was fired for poor results, but his leadership of the national team has been credited with revitalizing German soccer from its decline. However, Nagelsmann’s time at the helm of Germany’s national soccer team was cut short when he signed a contract extension through the 2026 World Cup in North and Central America. Ralf Rangnick, the head coach of Austria’s national soccer team, was another candidate who also failed.

Tuchel was announced to stay on at the end of the season, but negotiations with Munich broke down and he was forced to resign at the end of the season.

Munich’s first choice was Kompany, who took over at Burnley. Kompany, a world-class central defender who played for Manchester City as a player, made a name for 바카라 himself when he led Burnley to promotion from the English Championship in the 2022-2023 season. However, Burnley struggled this season and were eventually relegated again just one season after promotion.

While Kompany is an undisputed legend as a player, there is a lot of negativity surrounding his appointment as a manager.

Currently, Munich are reportedly in talks with Burnley over the penalty fee for bringing Kompany to the club. Kompany’s arrival could also bring Kim Min-jae back into the spotlight. Kompany generally prefers fast defenders, and Kim is one of the fastest central defenders in the world.
