South Korea’s men’s foil and women’s epee fencing teams reached the team finals side-by-side at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games. The men’s foil team of Lee Kwang-hyun (Hwaseong City Hall), Lim Chul-woo (Seongbuk-gu Office), Ha Tae-gyu (Daejeon City Corporation) and Heo Jun (Gwangju City Hall) defeated Hong Kong 45-37 in the semifinals of the team event at the Hangzhou Electronics University Gymnasium on Sunday. South Korea, which won its first men’s team title in 24 years at the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, will be looking to win its second straight title at the event. The Koreans cruised to a 45-29 victory over Chinese Taipei in the quarterfinals earlier in the day and then swept their semifinal matchup with Hong Kong, their final opponent at the last Games .In the final, scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, Korea will face host China. The women’s epee team, featuring individual gold and silver medalists Choi In-jung (Gyeryong City Hall) and Song Sera (Busan Metropolitan Government), along with Kang Young-mi (Gwangju Seo-gu Office) and Lee Hye-in (Gangwon-do Office), advanced to their third consecutive final with a 30-27 semifinal victory over China .Having lost to China at both Incheon 2014 and Jakarta-Palembang 2018, the women’s team won the silver medal in the team event and will now face Hong Kong for the gold.The women’s epee team final will 스포츠토토존 take place at 8:05 p.m. following the men’s flechette.
