Professional basketball team Changwon LG has replaced its Asian quota.
The team announced on Friday that it has signed forward Carl Tamayo (23) from the Philippines.
Tamayo is a 203-centimeter, 95-kilogram player who can play both inside and outside. His versatility, including three-point shooting and ball handling, attracted the attention of several 스포츠토토 KBL teams.
Last season, he played 13 minutes per game for the Ryukyu Golden Kings of the Nippon Professional Basketball League, averaging 3.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
With his height and outside shooting, LG expects Tamayo to fill the void left by the enlisted Yang Hong-seok.
Meanwhile, LG chose to part ways with Justin Gutang, who played well last season.
Gutang averaged 8.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 15.45 minutes per game in 53 games last season, but will be leaving the team as part of LG’s roster reshuffle.
