Women’s volleyball Pepper Oh Ji-young suspended for one year for ‘suspicion of bullying juniors’

In response to the volleyball league’s disciplinary action, Oh Ji-young’s side said,

“We have additional evidence… We will request a retrial.”

The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) suspended Oh Ji-young (35)

libero of Pepper Savings Bank in the women’s professional volleyball division for ‘alleged bullying of juniors’ for ‘one year’.

On the 27th, KOVO held a rewards and punishment committee at the federation conference room in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.

The Rewards and Punishments Committee, which was unable to reach a conclusion at the first meeting on the 23rd,

confirmed the disciplinary action at the meeting today. 바카라사이트

This is the first time that KOVO has imposed disciplinary action on charges of bullying between seniors and juniors within the club.

Lee Jang-ho, chairman of the KOVO reward and punishment committee, said,

“We have decided to suspend Oh Ji-young for one year in recognition of the workplace harassment and human rights violations she inflicted on her juniors,” and added,

“Although the two sides’ claims are different,

considering the confirmation letters from fellow players, etc., it is clear.”

“I thought it could be judged as a human rights violation,” he said.

Pepper Savings Bank, which has been confirmed to be in last place for three consecutive seasons,

recently investigated the suspicion that Oh Ji-young continued to harass junior players A and B,

and reported the relevant information to the federation’s Player Grievance Center on the 15th.

Oh Ji-young appeared before the Rewards and Punishments Committee again on the 23rd and gave her explanation in person.

He appeared alone on the 23rd, but was accompanied by a legal representative on this day.

Junior player A also appeared at the reward and punishment committee twice and informed the committee members of the damage.

An official from the Pepper Savings Bank team, which conducted its own investigation,

also attended the rewards and punishment committee and answered questions from the committee members.

After confirming additional data, the Rewards and Punishments Committee confirmed the level of disciplinary action.

However, the Rewards and Punishments Committee informed Oh Ji-young, “We may request a retrial.”

Oh Ji-young’s side said, “Our explanation was not sufficiently reflected.

There are additional materials that can be submitted,” and she said, “We will request a retrial.”
