National wushu champion Jeon Sung-jin (33, Gyeongju, South Korea) failed to reach the final at the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games, but earned a valuable bronze medal .Jeon was knocked to his knees by Iran’s Afshin Salimi in the second round of the men’s 65-kilogram Wushu Santa semifinals at the Xiaoshan Guari Gymnasium in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China on Sunday .Although he didn’t advance to the final, he took home the bronze medal. Wushu Santa does not compete in the third- and fourth-place matches. Sung-jin Jeon had a rough first round. Her opponent dominated the match with close-range grappling, while she defended. Jeon struggled with his opponent’s wild attacks. All five judges scored the first round in Salimi’s favor .The second round was one-sided. Jeon leveled the playing field early in the second round, landing several punches to his opponent’s face .However, with 39 seconds left in the second round, Salimi’s high kick caught him squarely in the head and dropped him. With his momentum gone, Jeon was pushed off the court by 안전놀이터 his opponent and fell to the ground.
