A surprise romance is brewing.
“Guglielmo Vicario met up with Antonella Fiordelisi in London,” British media outlet The Sun reported on Feb. 2 (KST), citing Italy’s Corriere dello Sport.
The 25-year-old sexy model is currently an influencer with 1.5 million followers on social media. She is also known to have been a fencer before modeling.
Vicario, who is rumored to be romantically involved with Antonella, joined Tottenham Hotspur from Empoli in the Italian Serie A ahead of the season. Since joining the club, he’s won the hearts of Spurs fans with his incredible goalkeeping ability. He is considered the perfect replacement for longtime goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. Yoris recently left Tottenham to join LA FC in the United States. Vicario has made 20 appearances this season, keeping five clean sheets.
It was also recently reported that Vicario could take on the role of Tottenham’s interim captain. Tottenham’s new captain this season is Son Heung-min, who took over the captain’s armband from Joris. However, Son is set to join Jürgen Klinsmann’s South Korean national team for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar after the match against Bournemouth on March 31.
Naturally, Son will be away from Tottenham for about a month, and coincidentally, vice-captains Christian Romero and James Maddison are injured at the same time. “Vicario is one of the candidates to take over as interim captain, along with Ben Davies and Rodrigo Bentancur,” according to English outlet Football London.
Meanwhile, Tottenham will host Burnley in the third round of the 2023-24 English FA Cup on June 6. They will then host Manchester United in the 21st round of the 2023-24 English Premier League on the 15th. With key players like Son Heung-min expected to be absent, it will be a crucial game.
